I believe when God handed out bravery, I must have been
dozing. I think the thing I was the most afraid of when I was young was Old
Mother Natures' Lighting. It just seem to wait for me to get near some trees,
then it would let-loose and attack around me. I believe that is why I could run
so fast, and did so good in track at school. The lightnings' favorite place to
ambush me was among the tall pines that I had to pass through to get from
Grandma's house and the Old home site. I would stand on the gallery and count to
three, then run like a spotted ___ ape. Its not easy to out-run the Lightning!
Well I'm old now, so if it really wants me, I guess I'll be easy Pickings.
