Boy! I've found the best fishing spot - but, something else has also found it. In Cotton Island swamp their is a bayou that fish get trapped in when the back-water goes down. The water churns because of so many fish. The only problem is, when you catch a fish, there is a battle to keep snakes off them. We caught a bunch one time and strung them up on a line and placed them in the bayou so they would stay alive until we could leave and go home. Within minutes there wasn't enough meat on those fish to feed an alley cat. Those snakes made a quick feast of those fish. I belive the only way I'll bring my family back to that place to fish, is if I have a swat team to guard us.
