#350 Learning

I had plenty of guidance when I was young, but a boy has to get into a little mischief to learn the hard facts of life himself. My greatest lesson happened to me when I was a very young age. One night I was playing in Mom & Dad's room with an old calico cat, when I came up with the bright idea of giving that old cat shock treatment.  I noticed a perfect light socket hanging, just in my reach, at the head of mom and dad's bed. I unscrewed that bulb, then put that cat in my arms and stuck my finger in the socket. That's when all HECK broke! Out of my arms and under the cover that cat flew! My eye-balls were lit-up and my teeth were still chattering when I finally shook-loose and fell on the bed. You know, after that, i couldn't get within 10 miles of that old Calico cat.
