#364 Vetiver

On our old home site, Dad had a patch of "Vitiver". It is a plant of thin shape leaves that grow to approximately six feet. It has hair like roots that has a fragrance that repel insects. Some of its usage are to be placed in closets or woven into baskets. The roots have a very appealing odor. Many of my young days were spent playing in the patch. It was a perfect place to play hide-and-seek. But boy, it sure hurt that night when I took my batch! that is when I found all those thin cuts I got as I was busy playing and having too much fun to realize the small pain. Where was all that infection, we hear about now hiding at, in those good old days?
